Meet the Goats!

Smokey

Smokey is my first Nigerian Dwarf and the boss of my little herd. Smokey was the “runt” weighing just over a pound at birth. He was bottle raised because of his size and his momma had two other kids to nurse.
I brought Smokey and another little guy home at three days old. He is a special goat. He loves people, isn’t afraid of anything, and thinks he’s just another dog. He’s a gentle leader but make no mistake he is the leader. Please don’t tell him he’s not very big. You’ll hurt his feelings.
New to the herd are Boomer and D.J. Remember Donkey from Shrek? He talks too much, doesn’t listen, sticks his nose where it doesn’t belong, but has a big heart, hence, D.J…Donkey Junior!
Boomer, well he is a lover. He’s gentle, quiet, and always happy to be held, just make sure you hold him so he can lay his head on your shoulder.

Noel
Noel is a special young lady. She was born three days after Christmas so a very special eight year old boy told me I had to name her Noel. Her coat couldn’t be softer if she was a cotton ball. She’s a quiet soul and prefers to just be brushed and sit next to you. No wild adventures for this girl, just love and pets.

It all began in June 2022 with two tiny, three-day-old Nigerian Dwarf goats and one very smitten human (that’s me!). These sweet bottle babies needed extra TLC because their mamas had their hooves full with multiple births. From the moment I held them, it was love at first bleat.

Smokey, the smallest of the bunch—barely a pound!—quickly claimed the title of my official sidekick. Their around-the-clock feeding schedule meant they came with me everywhere: road trips, church, work, and even gas station pit stops. Imagine the scene—me bottle-feeding a goat at the pump while strangers look on in delighted disbelief. And wherever we went? Smiles, laughter, and heart-melting joy followed.

At my workplace, word would spread like wildfire whenever the goats made an appearance. Within minutes, people were lining up to cuddle, feed, and take selfies. Even a local judge couldn’t resist holding little Smokey. I jokingly warned her about the potential for a “goat gift,” but she just smiled and said, “It’s worth it!”

Before this, my career had included some serious and demanding work—like my time as a police officer. But these goats opened my eyes to something truly special: their uncanny ability to bring happiness, relieve stress, and connect people through pure, simple joy. And just like that, Snow Peak Goat Adventures was born.

Today, I get to share that magic with you—whether it's a birthday party, bachelorette bash, corporate event, or a peaceful goat yoga session. Nigerian Dwarfs are my go-to breed: small, sweet, endlessly friendly, and yes, producers of the most amazing milk. But more than anything, they’re happiness experts in tiny hooves.

So, if you’re looking to add some lighthearted fun, unforgettable cuddles, and a little bit of goat-powered mischief to your next gathering—Snow Peak Goat Adventures is ready to bring the bleat-tastic joy straight to you!
